Neurologic Complications in Covid-19 infections

As the COVID -19 pandemic spread from Wuhan, China there has been an extensive and urgent gathering of clinical data.  Based on clinical reporting from China, up to 36.4% were found to have neurologic symptoms.


The most common initial neurological clinical symptom reported by most patients was a loss of the sense of smell.

Other neurologic symptoms include:

Severe headaches


Impaired consciousness


Muscle injury leading to pain
